My journey in faith has lead me here. I was brought up an Anglican, as were my children. I have had my faith all my life and have had many experiences to be able to share this. My youth work saw me set up a youth centre from a Christian perspective, I have been involved in schools earlier on, before officially teaching with 'bibles in schools'. I enjoyed experiences such as Youth synod as a teen, and also ventured to places with different religions and Christian beliefs, such as Pitcairn Island, who are Seventh day Adventist, and even to teach sports in a Jewish summer camp in America. I find teaching about our Lord so refreshing, being able to live, walk the talk, and express my belief with young budding Christians and staff is wonderful. This is why KingsView is fabulous.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work and Social Policy from Massey University and my Post-grad in teaching (Primary) was also gained through Massey. I have had a varied career in Social and Youth work prior to having my children, including in Woman's health, particularly with young mums, youth at risk and with people with disabilities. This career covered 9 years of my life. My teaching career has now spanned 15 years, I have mostly taught in Intermediate schools with year 7 and 8, in Auckland, Taupo, Reporoa and on Pitcairn island, but also in junior schools in Kuratau, south of Taupo, Mairangi Bay school and in Queenstown. My teaching experience at KingsView began mid-late last year, when I went into relieving after teaching at Shotover and St Josephs schools. I then enjoyed teaching at Kingsview so much, that I applied for the release teacher position, and then the Rangi Class position.

Favourite bible verse: Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them." I have quite a few verses which reverberate with me, however this is really my favourite. To me it is all about finding strength in prayers with likeminded Christians around you. As I have an on-going conversation with the Lord, I really feel the spirit more so when I am with one or two others, praying and sharing his glory and goodness.
